Sanitation
Unlike the miniscule number of metro-dwelling millennial, 2.8 billion people worldwide do not have access to basic sanitation facility. For a major chunk of Indians, a hygienic toilet equates to health, standard of living & most importantly dignity of women. Driven by the objective of Clean India Mission, the sanitation initiatives of Nirmaan have been earmarked for creating modern sanitation facilities accessible to the needy. In the tribal villages of Sundiara&Bhalukonda of West Bengal, Nirmaan has constructed 2 public sanitation units with toilet/lavatory & bathroom facilities to address the issues of open defecation & contacting diarrhoeal diseases.
